Was recommended to go to Cromwell Garage years ago when a main dealer quoted £6000 for a new gearbox. Went to get a second opinion from Jim at Cromwell Garage which was the gearbox was fine. I needed a new wheel bearing which cost £100! Have used Cromwell Garage ever since for all our family’s cars and have no hesitation recommending him to friends. Just wanted to say that I recently took my car to Jim. He diagnosed a broken spring to the front nearside wheel. The job was done promptly. I took it back the following day with a strange noise from the same area. Anti roll bar bush required replacing. No more noise and the car drives lovely. I can not speak more highly of this garage. We recently had our Discovery Sport in due to an engine light. They didn’t automatically go for the most expensive solution of replacing parts but instead investigated further and found it only needed a simpler solution. Many garages would be happy to just take your money but these guys were honest and showed they really cared about the customer. ~ Tim M

Had serious red warning oil light appear, so couldn’t drive car. Jim knew immediately what the cause was and fixed it. If I’d gone to my car’s dealership they would’ve done another £1,000.00 of total unnecessary work. This is now my garage of choice! We were going to Goodwood FOS until out van broke down and the leak off pipe sprayed fuel everywhere, we were sat for an hour waiting for recovery, who couldn’t help us and couldn’t tow us so we drove to Cromwell and they fixed the problem in 5 minutes free of charge. Amazing people here ~ Jasir A
